“I learned about the project in 2017, when we were collecting plastic bottles at school with the Defensores del Planeta children. We were surprised that they were high school students passionate about their project, already having a place where they recycled the bottles into blankets to donate to families in need. This project impacted both teachers and children. Seven years have passed, and Ayudando Abrigando continues to grow, and for us, it’s a privilege to keep working on caring for the planet.”

“I met the young people from Ayudando Abrigando in 2017, when floods affected our community. They immediately offered support with blankets and humanitarian aid, and we’ve formed a great friendship since then. In addition to helping during disasters, they’ve provided health and education support to people with disabilities and families in poverty.
