PET is a very common plastic throughout the world. It is found in most stores and supermarkets as it is used in a wide variety of products such as soft drinks, water bottles and rehydration drinks.<\/p>

However, PET is highly polluting due to its resistance to biodegradation, taking up to 1,000 years to decompose.<\/p>
