President

Being part of Ayudando Abrigando has always been a beautiful experience—one that has helped me grow as a person. Now, having the opportunity to lead this team, I feel honored and motivated to carry this incredible dream forward and help it grow even more.

I hope to expand Ayudando Abrigando internationally and strengthen our relationships with our current partners.

Nicolás Carroquiry

Vice President

Being part of Ayudando Abrigando has helped me grow deeply as a person and has shown me the power we have to change lives and create a positive impact.

Through these experiences, I hope to keep learning how to be more independent and become the best leader I can be. Today, alongside my teammates, I want to keep growing Ayudando Abrigando and raise awareness across Peru that change is not only possible—it’s necessary.

Chiara Dañino

Secretary

It’s truly a pleasure to be part of Ayudando Abrigando. Every time we take part in a delivery, I’m filled with joy and emotion—knowing that we’re helping vulnerable communities while also being mindful of our impact on the planet.

What motivates me to be involved in Ayudando Abrigando is the desire to be a well-rounded person, more aware of my actions, and someone who contributes positively to a world that needs more helping hands.

Gonzalo Galindo

Treasurer

I’m a student committed to helping others, as I’ve always been passionate about service and the idea that what we do can truly make a difference.

Through Ayudando Abrigando, I’ve learned about empathy, teamwork, and the value of connecting with others. The experiences I’ve had here continue to inspire me to pursue my passion for finance and to create projects that support social development and inclusion in my country.

Almudena Hernández

Media y Marketing

One of my passions is contributing to the development of those in vulnerable situations, and when I was invited to be the Media Manager of Ayudando Abrigando, I accepted without hesitation. I love being able to contribute with content and communication ideas. Being part of the team has helped me see different realities, connect with more people, and realize that I want to study psychology to better understand others and find ways to support them with empathy.

Thiago Dañino

Volunteer Leader

I’m an active, joyful person who’s always ready to help. Being part of Ayudando Abrigando allows me to live out one of my greatest passions: leading and serving.

Seeing children smile because of our support fills me with purpose. My dream is to keep inspiring others and to help shape leaders who will positively transform our society.

Thiana del Valle

Volunteer Leader

Since I was little, I’ve felt a deep passion for helping others and protecting the environment. That’s why I joined Ayudando Abrigando. Seeing families smile during each delivery fills my heart with joy. Although I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, I know I want to make a positive impact. Ayudando Abrigando taught me that small gestures can truly change lives.

Ignacio Jaramillo

School Clubs Coordinator

Being part of Ayudando Abrigando has changed how I understand impact—not as a matter of reach, but of intention.

True help that leaves a mark requires time, dedication, and a deep understanding of what truly matters in each community. It may take longer, but it’s the most valuable way to contribute.

This perspective is what I hope to carry with me into a future in business and philanthropy, where impact is measured not by reach, but by meaning.

Matías Makhlouf

School Clubs Coordinator

Being part of Ayudando Abrigando is more than an experience—it’s a gift. What I enjoy most about being on the team is interacting with the children during our donations.

Seeing them smile as we play and share blankets made from plastic bottles fills me with happiness and satisfaction.

Ayudando Abrigando not only gives me these wonderful experiences but has also made me realize that when I grow up, I want a job that helps people and brings me the same fulfillment I find here.

Miranda Polastri

Events and Activities Coordinator

Ayudando Abrigando has taught me that helping others doesn’t require a lot of resources, just a big heart. Seeing how something as simple as recycled bottles can transform lives has left a lasting impact on me. I’m passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives, and it fills me with pride to see them smile. In the future, I dream of studying Communications and Advertising so I can tell stories that inspire others to join social causes and help make the world a more compassionate place.

Ainoha Siucho

Founder

“Being the founder of Ayudando Abrigando remains one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I started this project at 13 years old, without imagining that, 9 years later, it would still be a dream come true. I am filled with pride to see how the mission has grown beyond me and my three best friends, becoming a larger community that continues to support those in need. One of the happiest moments is when we hand out the blankets and see the children and families smile; in those moments, we understand the true impact of our work and feel that every effort is worth it.”

Francesco Mufarech

Founder

“As Ayudando Abrigando approaches its tenth year, I realize that the mission of this wonderful organization goes far beyond providing warmth to Peru’s most vulnerable. It also focuses on raising awareness about the diverse realities of our country, promoting social and economic development. Providing warmth is not just an act of charity; our work goes deeper, aiming to bring personal and human value to those who have the least.

This organization has shown me the immense potential of Peru. We can move forward, we can grow, and the smallest problem lies within us, the people of this amazing country. Ayudando Abrigando loves Peru, cares for the environment, and provides resources to those in need. I am convinced that the more this organization grows, the more Peru will grow, and we will be able to educate our population to foster productive and meaningful development.”

Marcelo Makhlouf

Founder

“We started Ayudando Abrigando when we were just 14 years old, and it fills me with pride and inspiration to see the impact we’ve made. We are an organization dedicated to transforming the country, one person at a time. Above all, for me, Ayudando Abrigando represents the power of what each individual can achieve. Together, we’re building a better Peru!”

Miguel Uccelli

Founder

“At Ayudando Abrigando, we have built an organization committed to humanizing and transforming lives by supporting those who need it most. I feel grateful to see how this organization continues to grow and proud to be part of this great project. Here’s to many more achievements ahead!”

Julián Siucho

Co-founder

In 2017, Julián Siucho Garofolin, a student at Colorado School of Mines, founded Caminando Ando, focused on recycling plastic to create socks and ponchos. Together with Pedro Brescia Hoffman, the initiative merged with Ayudando Abrigando, forming a single organization dedicated to responsible recycling and social support. During this time, Ayudando Abrigando participated in international conferences and established partnerships with companies that continue to collaborate with us today.
