My motivation to be part of Ayudando Abrigando is to be an honest and compassionate person, to be more conscious of my actions, and to contribute positively to a world that needs more caring hands.
Being part of Ayudando Abrigando has always been a beautiful experience that has helped me grow as a person. Now that I’ve been given the opportunity to lead the team, I feel honored and motivated to continue this great dream and help it grow even more. I would like to expand Ayudando Abrigando internationally and strengthen our ties with our current partners.
Being part of Ayudando Abrigando has helped me grow deeply as a person and has shown me the power people have to change lives and make a positive impact. Through these experiences, I hope to continue learning to be more independent and to become the best leader I can be. Now, together with my peers, I look forward to helping Ayudando Abrigando grow and raising awareness in Peru that change is necessary.
I’m an active, joyful person who loves helping others. Being part of Ayudando Abrigando lets me live my passion for leadership and service. I love seeing kids smile thanks to my support. My dream is to keep inspiring others and help create leaders who will make our society better every day.
Being part of Ayudando Abrigando has deepened my passion for helping people in Peru. From the delivery process to witnessing the impact on families, I see how essential our work is. I love fashion and taekwondo, and I am concerned about environmental issues. This initiative promotes sustainable change in communities, inspiring others to join for a positive impact.
“Being the founder of Ayudando Abrigando remains one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I started this project at 13 years old, without imagining that, 9 years later, it would still be a dream come true. I am filled with pride to see how the mission has grown beyond me and my three best friends, becoming a larger community that continues to support those in need. One of the happiest moments is when we hand out the blankets and see the children and families smile; in those moments, we understand the true impact of our work and feel that every effort is worth it.”
“As we approach a decade since the founding of Ayudando Abrigando, I realize that the mission of this wonderful organization goes beyond providing warmth to the most vulnerable Peruvians. It also focuses on raising awareness about the diverse realities of our country, promoting social and economic development. Providing warmth is not simply an act of charity. Our work goes further, seeking to bring personal and human value to those who have the least.
This organization has shown me the immense potential of Peru. Progress is possible, development is achievable, and we, the people of this wonderful country, are not the problem. Ayudando Abrigando loves Peru, cares for the environment, and provides resources to those in need. I am convinced that as this organization grows, so will Peru, and we will be able to educate our population to foster productive and effective development”
“We started Ayudando Abrigando when we were 14 years old, and I am proud and inspired by the impact we have made. We are an organization aiming to transform the country, one person at a time. Above all, for me, Ayudando Abrigando represents the impact that each of us can achieve. Together, for a better Peru!”
“At Ayudando Abrigando, we have created an organization dedicated to humanizing and transforming realities, providing support to those who need it the most. I am happy to see how this organization continues to grow and proud to be part of this amazing project. Let’s keep pushing for more!”
In 2017, Julián Siucho Garofolin, a student at Colorado School of Mines, founded Caminando Ando, focused on recycling plastic to create socks and ponchos. Together with Pedro Brescia Hoffman, the initiative merged with Ayudando Abrigando, forming a single organization dedicated to responsible recycling and social aid. During this time, Ayudando Abrigando participated in international conferences and established partnerships with companies with which it continues to collaborate today.
